A little about me & your shoot…
Hailing from East London, my degree is in Film, Video & Photographic Arts from the University of Westminster with over 20 years of experience as photographer in TV & Film, shooting promo, marketing, stills & always Headshots. I began at art school & still dabble in abstract art, I also hand paint my own unique backdrops for the shoots. Whatever my creative output I’m interested in creating intriguing portraits. Capturing the persona is always going to be the ultimate goal & will always get people interested. Headshots can be pretty formulaic, but with great interaction on the shoot & my distinctive photographic style we can achieve next level striking Headshots. I have photographed leading talents & actors, Harry Goodwins (The Gentlemen, possibly DC’s Green Arrow), several shoots with Charlotte Hope (Spanish Princess, Game of Thrones), Caroline Ford (Carnival Row, Once Upon a Time), James Redmond (Hollyoaks, Casualty), Louisa Connerly-Burnham (Wolf Blood, Sisters Wives), Maeve Dermody (A Thousand Blows, Ripper Street), shoots with performers, presenters & comedians such as Seann Walsh. You can some read some testimonials below. At the other end of the scale, Brit School graduates have been in front of my lens for their first Headshots. For me each shoot is an experience & inspiring!
The right Headshots will get you more castings, it’s as simple as that!
Shoot day comes with lots of direction based on my experience of working with actors at all levels. If you are serious about your acting career, you will know you need to be serious about your Headshots. That doesn’t mean the shoot itself needs to be too serious. Quite the opposite, the more relaxed & fun we make it, the better results. We can achieve striking images through collaboration and working through processes I have developed to ensure we ultimately, get you more castings & roles. We’ll get past any concerns & step towards getting into the zone where it all becomes natural, genuine, loose & comfortable. The aim is to get to shots that are real & have credibility, Headshots where anyone looking at them want to know “who is that”?! After the shoot you will receive contact sheets of hi res thumbnails of everything we shot. From these you will make your final selection and I will get cracking with retouching & deliver the final headshots so you can get cracking with castings! FAQs are below but I would love to chat with you, no obligation to book, so get in touch.

FAQs
What do I get from the shoot and packages?
The shoot will be at my studio in North London, it will be a relaxed environment, we will had a chat in advance. We can pick up that conversation and run through the shoot plan over a cup of tea or coffee, ensure you are happy with the plan. You will get lots of direction on the shoot and if you have any idea or thoughts, those can be discussed and incorporated. After the shoot, you will receive thumbnail contact sheet by email. These are for you to select the images you would like to have retouched. These you will be send on completion of the retouching. The images comes with a license for you to use them for your own self promotion.
Do I get all the images from my shoot
This sometimes causes mis-understanding as some types of shoots included all images. Headshots shoots do not include the whole shoot in the fee as standard. My session fee has a set amount of included retouched image with usage on those images. You will get to view all the images on the thumbnail contact sheets, but they are not for use professionally.
There is the option of additional images outside the packages at £40 per image to cover the usage of those images and work retouching. If you require more than just a few extra images, 5 plus extra images, great! Glad you are liking so many, we can discuss the a suitable package of extras according to how many you require and the retouching time.
How do I book a shoot?
Use the booking form, or email, or call with a few options on dates and I will check the calendar and find a suitable date and time. You will be provisionally booked in, confirmation will on receipt of a transfer payment for the shoot, them we are all set.
How long is the shoot and how long to get the images?
The full package, 2 hour sessions are usually more than enough but there will be an hour after that if we feel we need to work further.
The 1 hour top up session has to be kept a little closer to the 1 hour slot, but we can extend that to 1 & ½ hours.
All images are delivered on thumbnail contact sheets within 24 hours.
Following your order, retouches will be completed within 7 to 10 days
Can I see the images during the shoot?
Yes absolutely! We can take breaks through the shoot to go through the images and ensure you are happy and plan how to keep on track for the best results. Your feedback is important to keep on target with thoughts and expectations. We can make sure with are hitting the mark with mood, lighting and that you are happy with all the details, clothes, hair.
Can I retouch the images myself?
Please refrain from retouching further. Actors headshots have certain guidelines on retouching and also the retouching is part of my style of photography. I would be happy to discuss any further retouching with you though if you feel it was needed.
Can I reschedule?
If you need to reschedule your booking, I understand an actors life with, auditions etc can be tricky, please give me 24 hours notice. You will be able to reschedule your booking once for free.
If rescheduling for a second time, I reserve the right to make a discretionary £50 additiional charge. Rescheduling would be preferable, but if you do need to cancel, 48 hours notice would be appreciated. I hope you understand, a cancellation with less than 48 hours notice will incur a £100 fee for full session and £80 for top sessions. The rest of the fee will be returned to you.
What should I bring?
We will discuss this ahead of the shoot, but I would suggest 3 changes ( you can bring more through), this should be enough to give a variety of looks. We are photographing you so it
should be your own style, but nothing than stands out too much, Preferably no primary colours, neutrals, muted and earth colours also are ok, nothing that distracts from your face and personality.
Do you provide a make up artist?
As standard there is no make up artist on the shoot, you may arrive in make up or bring your own. I have a number of very good make up/hairstylists that I could recommend or book in for you, but it will increase the cost as they will come with a separate fee for their services.
